⭐⭐⭐⭐ Au Cheval lives up to its reputation with outstanding food, especially the burgers and perfectly cooked fries. The quality of the ingredients and attention to detail are obvious in every dish, and the lively atmosphere makes it a fun place to dine. That said, the wait times can be long, and the restaurant is often crowded and noisy. While the food is excellent, the overall experience can feel a bit hectic. Still, it's definitely worth a visit for anyone looking to enjoy one of Chicago's iconic dining spots.

Gorg restaurant that I was able to enjoy on a gorgeous afternoon. Sat on their rooftop which was stunning. Menu was innovative but felt fresh and healthy. I ended up getting the tuna poke bowl special and it was fresh, colorful and the perfect size. I can’t wait to come back here and check out more items

This place is incredible!! The decor is stunning and moody, a perfect vibe. I had the Truffle Mafaldine that was sooo scrumptious. I also had the parkerhouse rolls whcih were warm and fluffily yummy. Lastly, I had the sticky date cake that I will truly think about for years to come. 10 out of 10 rating and will definitely return whenever I am visiting Chicago. You definitely need a reservation though, so plan accordingly!

My girlfriend and I had high hopes for this restaurant, but our DoorDash order was extremely disappointing. The brisket was the only thing we kept, and even that was mediocre. The mac and cheese, beans, and corn tasted terrible and had an unpleasant smell that nearly made me throw up. I didn’t care for the sausage either. We really wanted to give this place a chance, but we ended up throwing away everything except the brisket.

I tried the brisket, jalapeño sausage, cornbread and spicy pickles. All of the food was great. The brisket so tender. Delicious flavor that makes you not want to stop eating even when you’re full. Well worth the price. Not a place for a quiet evening but a fun place to go.

We had a great dinner celebrating a birthday. Food and service were great. The chicken parm, wagyu beef skewer and shrimp scampi were all stand outs. Deserts were wonderful as well.

Monteverde is one of Chicago’s well-known Italian restaurants, so I was excited to try it. Enjoying the food with 🍷 made the experience even better. The Tortelloni di Zucca was delicious. The roasted squash filling was naturally sweet, while the brown butter added a rich, nutty flavor. The crisp Honeycrisp apple brought freshness, and the Parmesan fonduta made everything smooth and creamy. The Cacio Whey Pepe was a dish I had high expectations for, given the restaurant’s reputation. Perhaps my palate isn’t refined enough to appreciate the subtle nuances of its flavors. It was good, but it didn’t quite stand out to me as much as I had hoped. The Burrata e Ham was another highlight. The rosemary tigelle bread arrived freshly baked and still Hot, Crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. Paired with creamy burrata, savory Prosciutto di San Daniele, and sweet-and-tangy peach-plum mostarda, every bite was a delightful combination of flavors and textures. Another fun touch was watching the chefs make fresh pasta and tortellini in the kitchen through the mirror above the bar. Overall, it was a lovely dining experience, with the Tortelloni di Zucca and Burrata e Ham standing out the most. I’m glad I got to experience this celebrated Chicago restaurant.
